Day of workshops and cinema

Wednesday was a day of workshops and cinema. Everyone had a chance to choose the workshop he/she wanted. And after all the activities we had at school, we went to the cinema to watch a film in English.
We've decided to tell you about that day using an interview.

1. Alyona

Interviewer: How did you like the workshops?

Alyona: It was really great and funny.

Interviewer: What workshops have you visited?

Alyona: I've visited Science workshop where we had to build a bridge using spaghetti and liquid glue. Of course, my team has won (Lena and Dasha have loosed, heh).

Interviewer: What helped you to win?

Alyona: Wouter and a boy with strange laugh helped me to win. I think they're both good at physics and engineering.

Interviewer: And what was your second workshop?

Alyona: I've chosen Music workshop. Honestly, I thought we would listen to Dutch music, but we had to sing an African song. Actually, it was nice. After an African song we sang the Michael Jackson's song "We are the world".

Day of a wonderful trip

Amsterdam is a friendly and welcoming city. For each person Amsterdam is different. While you're not visit the capital of the Netherlands, you will not understand the spirit of this city.
Every student looked forward to go to Amsterdam. Especially for us it was the day when dreams come true because everyone wanted to visit Amsterdam. We woke up very early and we went by bus to Amsterdam. It was a two-hour trip and we felt a little sleepy. Then we entered the city, saw beautiful views and we immediately felt cheerful and ready. We were divided into two groups and each group visited different museums: Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum.
Rijksmuseum is a museum about the Netherland's history and art. There are a lot of amazing paintings, sculptures. Building of the museum is really huge, so, unfortunately, we couldn't see everything. But we saw one of the most famous paintings "Night Watch". We were really impressed by this wonderful museum.

The second group visited Van Gogh Museum. The museum's collection is the largest collection of Van Gogh's paintings and drawings in the world. We had a nice guide who has made unforgettable excursion for young visitors. We listened the stories of creation of paintings, found drawings which transmitted the feelings of Van Gogh.  We have got a lot of positive emotions.

While we're going through channels, we can get more emotions. It is unforgettable feelings when you sit outdoors in the sun with friends and ride for the Dutch channels. The sun is hot, and some of us want to sleep and as a result our faces may be sunburned to the next morning. But we are really exciting and want to repeat it again and again.
